The Bear and His Catch
She was swimming so quickly one morning that he almost lost sight of her and panicked. He dove into the river and grabbed at her delicate fin, ripping it and reopening her nearly healed wounds. She gave him a desperate pleading look, but everything started over like before. Every time she was strong enough to get away, he would sink his claws in deeper to keep her as his own, feeding her and watching over her. She was his pet and his prisoner; He was the cause of her suffering, and the source of her relief. Every time this cycle repeated, she would still give him that reassuring look, a look of loyal and sad acceptance of her situation with him.
